**The 2014 contest is now closed. Good luck to all entrants! The winner will be announced in October 2014 and we’ll do it all again next year!**

I wasn’t always good at gardening. In fact, growing tomatoes proved the most challenging. Based on my past failures, I really over planted the tomato beds in the Tomato Envy garden this year – including 14 heirloom tomato plants started from seed.

Like they say, “Be careful what you wish for!” The sturdy vines grew to 8 feet even before August and they were loaded with green tomatoes! I don’t have tomato plants, I have a tomato forest.

Tomatoes, totally OOC!

The Tomato Envy story was born from my desire to successfully grow tomatoes, but it’s also a metaphor for my love of lifelong learning. My husband, Mr. President says, “What gets measured gets done!” So, I decided to keep track of my tomato harvest this season, weighing each and every luscious tomato I pick.

To get you in on the action, I’m holding a contest to see who can come closest to guessing (without going over) the total weight of my tomato harvest for the entire season – through September 30, 2014.

The winner gets a FREE copy of Grow, Cook, Eat by Willi Galloway (for more details about the book, click here) and a beautiful hand-dyed apron that’s perfect for all of your kitchen and garden adventures!

contestYou should enter this contest! All you need to do is visit the contest page to fill out the form, check out the official rules, and enter your best guess. Follow me on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for clues and updates on my progress. You can update your guess as many times as you like. I also have clues in some of my blog posts, so be sure to check back regularly.

Good luck!
